Graham and Jewson win safety awards
Plumbers merchant Graham and sister builders merchant Jewson have won Gold achievement awards in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' 2010 Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
Graham & Jewson have both won Rospa Gold Awards for health & safety
The Gold Awards went to Jewson Scotland and North division and Graham's Contract Branch Network division for achieving "a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss."
Graham's Local Branch Network division also won a Silver award as did Jewson West & Wales and Jewson South & East.
Kevin Crawley, Health and Safety Director at Saint-Gobain Building Distribution, said: "The RoSPA Awards recognise the highest standards of health and safety management and are therefore an important benchmark for Saint-Gobain companies within the UK. For four of our businesses to have achieved Gold Awards for the first time is something of which we should all be proud as it recognises the significant improvements that we continue to make across the Group."
