Builders merchant takes on football sponsorship

Middlesborough builders merchant Joseph Parr (Middlesborough) has joined the Business Backing Darlington Club, which could see the merchant's logo on the club shirts next season.

A competition is being held amongst BBDC members to see who will be the shirt sponsor, however as a club member, Parrs will also get a range of advertising opportunities including a perimeter advertising board at The Northern Echo Darlington Arena and full match sponsorship, including a full-page matchday programme advertising package.

Joseph Parr managing director David Anderson says that the company would probably do most of the hospitality package anyway, so the chance to be a shirt sponsor as well is "an excellent opportunity."
