Less landfill: Dulux Decorator Centres help customers reduce waste

Some 56 million litres of paint are thrown into landfill on average each year. Now, Dulux Decorator Centres' account customers can sign up to have their paint cans either collected from site or returned back to store where the paint cans are then sent off for recycling.

Stephen Edwards, head of group marketing for Dulux Decorator Centres, said: "The new can recycling scheme will hopefully become 'best practice' for all painters and decorators and encourage them to become conscientious when disposing of leftover paint and the cans. The recycling scheme is currently being rolled out to 124 Dulux Decorator Centres around the country, following successful trials in the North West and South East. Our aim is that nothing goes to landfill."
