Plumb Center regular wins Yorkshire van

A customer of plumbers merchants Plumb Center has a brand new Ford Connect van after entering the Yorkshire Copper Tube 'Win a Van' promotion.


Thomas Winterton, a plumber from Northenden in Manchester, was presented with his brand new Ford Connect 230 LLW 90 PS van by Jack Wallace, Yorkshire's commercial director, at the company's head office in Kirkby, Liverpool. Mike Daly, manager of Thomas's local Plumb Center branch where he picked up the winning game card, was also there to help celebrate the self-employed plumber's success.

The promotion ran over two months and received over 14,000 entries from plumbers across the UK. Plumbers entered via text or through the Yorkshire website by entering a unique code found on game cards available in plumbers' merchants. Entries were then put into a prize draw which took place at the end of the promotion.

Jack Wallace said: "We are delighted with the success of this Yorkshire promotion and we congratulate Thomas and all our runners-up. The Ford Connect is a fantastic prize; in fact it's one of the biggest prizes Yorkshire has ever given away." The Ford Connect has been fully kitted out with internal racking, a pipe carrier, rear door high-security shielded locks and sign-writing.

Winterton said he was "absolutely amazed and delighted to have won this fantastic prize; I have never won anything before. I use Yorkshire copper tube everyday but this is the first time I have entered a Yorkshire Copper Tube promotion and it certainly won't be the last."

Ten runners-upreceived a DeWalt site radio and a further 1,000 runners-up won a Yorkshire branded thermal mug.
