Jewson Live in a league of its own

Jewson finished 2016 on a high, with the return of Jewson Live. Even bigger and better than the 2015 event, the show welcomed over 2,300 attendees as well as 180 exhibitors.

The UK’s biggest builders’ merchants show played host to an array of famous faces including former England footballer, Dion Dublin, and former international Rugby Union star, Neil Back MBE. The sporting duo took on a fiendish sports quiz, a League of Jewson’s Own, while architectural designer Charlie Luxton discussed some of the latest trends in building design.

Speaking about the show, Jewson marketing director, David Fenton said: “Following the success of our first ever show in 2015, we were really excited to welcome back our customer and supplier partners for Jewson Live 2016. We were also delighted by the amount of new customers who attended, giving us a great mix of delegates at the event.”

“As a business we are very focused on tackling the skills gap in the industry so we really encouraged colleges and students to come to the event. It was great to see so many of the next generation of construction professionals at the show and speak to them about how they can work with builders merchants.

“Combining product demonstrations with discussions from industry leaders, and of course some fun and games, made for an all-round great show and we’re already making plans for Jewson Live 2017!”
