Ideal Bathrooms, one of the UK’s leading bathroom distributors, has strengthened its team with the appointment of a bathroom industry specialist.
Gary Matthews has joined the team, affectionately known as The Idealists, as the company’s new Sales Director with 28 years of experience in customer service and sales environments in the building materials, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom industry.
Having worked in sales since 1994, Matthews has progressed through a variety of roles, from Area Sales Manager through to senior leadership positions, in retail, trade, online and specification arenas.
He has worked for market-leading brands including Kohler Mira, Grohe and Ideal Standard with his most recent role being UK Sales Director for Grant Westfield, where he built a growth platform for the Multipanel business.
As the UK Sales Director for Ideal Bathrooms, Matthews will concentrate on the development of the business’ sales strategy. He will be focusing on the customers’ needs, building sales excellence and working collaboratively with key suppliers in its portfolio.
Matthews expressed how delighted he is to be joining the team and looking forward to helping the company to continue its success in the industry.
He said: “Having been a supplier into the business in previous years, I have observed Ideal Bathrooms becoming the leader in its field and as I know the team well, I feel totally at home and privileged to become part of that environment.
