Final chance for one charity to win £500

Local builders’ merchant D.W. Nye is offering one final opportunity for a charity, school, or community group to secure £500 of funding this year. The fourth and final round of D.W. Nye’s ‘Proud to be Local’ campaign is now open for nominations.

Members of the public, including charity staff, have until Sunday 18th November to put forward a nomination including details of how the £500 would benefit the good cause. A public vote will decide the winner later in November, promising a very merry Christmas for one local group.

D.W. Nye’s Managing Director, Rex Nye, commented on the campaign:

“We’re looking for any good cause that works to help others within the local community, and the prize money can be used in any w

ay that will best support its work. So far this year the money has benefited a youth group, an animal rescue centre, and a pre-school.

“Not only has this campaign been a fantastic way to award much-n

eeded money to deserving causes, it’s also been a wonderful opportunity for us to highlight the breadth and depth of the charitable and volunteer work taking place in the heart of Sussex and Surrey. We couldn’t be prouder to live and work here.”

Nominations can be submitted by email to proudtobelocal@dwnye.co.uk. Please include details of the cause and how the money would be used. Alternatively, write by post to D.W. Nye Proud to be Local c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst RH14 9HP. Ensure a contact name and telephone number is included. The deadline is midnight on Sunday 18th November 2018.
