Elliotts, the South’s leading independent supplier of building materials for the trade and public, has presented a cheque for £13,500 to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

The amount was raised by Elliotts employees who took part in the Challenge Adventure Charities ‘Alsace Challenge’ – a 550-mile bike ride from Arras to Alsace in France.

Robert Music, Chief Executive of Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, said “We are very grateful to everyone at Elliotts for raising a fantastic £13,500 for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust through their Charity of the Year. Demand for our support services increases every year, calls to our free helpline alone increased by 43% last year. It is only with the generosity of supporters like Elliotts that we are able to carry out this vital work”

Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust works hard to make cervical cancer a thing of the past and was voted as Elliotts’ Charity of the Year for 2017 by employees.

The cheque was presented to the charity by Elliotts Chairman, Stuart Mason-Elliott and Tools & Fixings Product Manager, Ted Tugwell who is an avid support of Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust in memory of his late wife.

Mason-Elliott said, “We are delighted to have raised such a huge sum for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and we hope this money can help the charity continue the incredible work that they do.”
