Dunlop Adhesives have reported considerable success since opening an office and warehousing facility in Bucharest, particularly in Romania and the Czech Republic.

The company have seen their sales in Eastern Europe more than double in the second year of activity in the region. The company have pointed to a growing Eastern European market to account for the rise, coupled with the implementation of a strategy in line with the UK operation.

High quality product and great customer service are key factors in this, say the company, and have helped Dunlop to build a large, loyal customer base.

Product Manager, Alex Underwood, said: “When we began exporting to Eastern Europe we hoped qualities like ease of use and superior performance would be universal; that they would translate languages, boundaries and borders. Our achievements to date would suggest we were right.

“What makes this success so remarkable isn’t just the increase in sales. It’s also the fact that customers have made the switch to Dunlop adhesives and grouts after months, years, maybe even a lifetime of using indigenous products. Such brand loyalty isn’t given up easily or lightly. People only tend to make a change when they find something better – and that has to be a real testament to our products.”
