British Gypsum appoints new Marketing and Sales Directors

British Gypsum announced the new appointments of Stacey Temprell as Marketing Director and Paul Lake as Sales Director. Together they will develop the company’s commercial strategy and extensive range of products and services.

Prior to this appointment, Temprell was responsible for supporting the development of Saint-Gobain’s Habitat strategy in the UK and Ireland, leading its marketing function while Lake led the Ecophon organisation in the UK and Ireland.

Temprell first joined the Saint-Gobain Group with British Gypsum where she had responsibility for the Gyproc range of plasterboards and plasterboard accessories, managing the product range transition to meet new building regulations, before moving into the role of Residential Market Manager. She therefore brings extensive knowledge of the company’s products, systems and markets to the role.
Speaking about the role Temprell said: “I am looking forward to this new challenge and working with the team at British Gypsum. I admire the company’s customer first approach and am dedicated to further delivering on its commitment to system and new product development, and training and skills.”

In her new role as Marketing Director for British Gypsum, Temprell will work in collaboration with newly appointed Sales Director Paul Lake to develop and roll out plans for the company’s extensive range of products and services. She will also be responsible for the development of the British Gypsum portfolio and brand.

Lake brings to the role significant experience in both sales and general management at Ecophon and latterly as Business Units Director responsible for Saint-Gobain Ceilings for the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Benelux countries. In his new role as Sales Director for British Gypsum he will lead the company’s National Sales team. Commenting on this next challenge Lake said: “With a century of technical expertise and experience, British Gypsum has established itself as a reliable manufacturer supporting the industry to build better. I am looking forward to working with Stacey to drive the company’s commercial strategy and to continue to raise standards in the construction industry.”

His responsibilities will include placing a keen emphasis on customer plans, the achievement of sales targets and the commercialisation of new products from recognised customer requirements.

With over 100 years’ experience in plaster, plasterboard and ceiling solutions, British Gypsum produces a multitude of high-performance, innovative and distinctive products to help customers build better spaces to live, work and play.
