Are you ready to take on Alan’s Challenge?

To celebrate their 20th Anniversary,VELUX ALAN AJW Distribution are launching their first networking charity event on Saturday 15th September. The aim of the event is to create a yearly event where we can raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity. This year we have supported Headway Cambridge & Headway Suffolk as these charities are extremely important to a number of our employees.

We are holding this event at ‘The Playground Assault Course’ which is based in Bury St Edmunds where we have just opened our fifth AJW Depot. The assault course consist of 25 obstacles on a 1000m course and although will be a challenge we hope it will be an extremely fun experience for everyone taking part.

Each team will consist of between 2-4 people, plus ‘Mini Alan’. The aim of the game is to get your whole team around the assault course whilst ensuring the cardboard cut-out of ‘Alan’ is kept in tip-top condition!

If you don’t fancy the course then come down to meet our suppliers, speak with the AJW team and take part in our competitions.

The Fundraising Team: Complete the course as a team and raise £500 for our chosen charity to be in with a chance of winning £1,000. Do you have your own charity, then please raise money for them.

Challenge Team: Have you always wanted to try an obstacle challenge? If so come along and see if you can make it round the course.

Family Fun Day: Turn up on the day and socialise with our suppliers, staff and customers and enjoy the many competitions, games and free food and drinks.

We have a few spaces left for the event and so if you are an AJW customer, supplier or are keen to learn more about our new Bury Depot then please sign up on our website today.

We have received huge support for this event from a number of our suppliers including the event sponsors Kingspan, Marley Eternit, VELUX, Sandtoft, ALM, Brett Martin, Klober, Tuff Waterproofing Ltd, Fatra, Flex-R, Seven Asset and Redland. We have also launched our AJW raffle this week in all depots which we have received some fabulous prizes for. So if you are local to any of our depots then please do pop by and purchase a ticket for £1.

The AJW team and suppliers who are attending the event are extremely excited and ready to take on this challenge. We are confident the day will be a huge success and that we will raise a great amount for our chosen charities.
